About the $1 deposit
What does the $1 deposit do?
It reserves your spot and locks in the lowest launch price. The $1 is applied toward your pledge when we launch on Kickstarter, or fully refunded if you change your mind. It’s not a charge for the product. It’s how you claim the discount early.
Is the deposit really refundable?
Yes, completely. If you decide not to proceed, just reply to any of my emails from the same address you used for the deposit. I’ll refund the $1, no questions asked, anytime before the Kickstarter launches.
Can one deposit cover multiple units?
Yes. You only place one $1 deposit now. At launch you choose how many you want, all at the locked-in reservation price.
Why should I use the same email for the deposit and Kickstarter?
We match your Kickstarter email against our reservation list to apply your locked-in discount and verify your deposit. Using the same email for both makes sure you get the price you reserved.
What do I actually get, and when?
At launch you’ll pick your tier (files only, or files with the LED hardware kit) and complete your pledge — your reservation discount applies to whichever tier you choose. Everything — the print files and any hardware kits — is delivered after the Kickstarter campaign successfully funds and wraps up, not at the moment you pledge or deposit.
